The USPS honored the memory of Frederick Douglass in 1967 by issuance of this 25-cent postage stamp. Douglass was a leader of the African American Civil Rights Movement in the 19th century after himself escaping slavery in Massachusetts. This stamp is in mint condition and has never been hinged.
