The 1939 New York Worlds Fair Mint set of 4 stamps Issued April 1st, 1939 in honor of the New York Worlds Fair, the largest ever at that time. Pictured on the Stamp is the “ Trylon ” and ‘ Perisphere ” two of the most famous images of the Fair. The Trylon was a 700 foot tall spire that was connected to the Perisphere, a sphere with a diameter of 180 feet. This block is 85 years old, suitable for framing or for mounting in your scrapbook.
